How does our search work?
Our search works assumptively, based on what you search for.
1.) If you search for a zip code without including a service(s), our search assumes you would like to see all treatment centers which provide any services close to your starting point (zip code). You will be taken to the correct page on Hopelinks.net, and we will suggest other close locations where we have treatment centers listed.
* A "zip code only" search box will be provided in the top menu.
Why doesn't the treatment center a mile a way show in the zip code search?
The most common reason a specific center does not show in the results is the treatment center is not listed in the search engine.
The most common reason a treatment center know to be listed will not show in the proximity search is there are 'closer' treatment centers based on 'center of zip code' to 'center of zip code' calculations, which we use, rather than 'physical address' distance to keep your location as anonymous as possible.
2.) If you search for a zip code and service(s), our search assumes the services are required and will select matches from a number of locations based on the zip code you enter and the services you search for.
You will remain on the search page with the services you selected below the header. You will also be provided with other "close locations" to try searching for the services you requested.
How Does Our "Services" Search Work Best?
Our services search works best when searching for multiple service combinations which may not be common, or to find possible locations for the services you need in another area. To find all close locations, just enter a zip code in the search box.
Why don't all results from an area show in the services search? (and)
Why don't results from the "Also Try Searching…" show rather than results from "Farther Away"?
We try to provide visitors a broad range of options when searching for treatment, without forcing them to scroll multiple pages. If we returned all results in an area or order of distance from a starting point, a visitor may have to scroll hundreds of results to find treatment "out of town" so we limit the number of close results we show.
Can search results be edited to select specific treatment centers or give preference to centers?
No, our search is completely automated and cannot be "weight" to change positions in results.
