Spirituality, Starting a 'New Day'
Discernment is the difference of realizing what is good and what is evil.
God wants people to prosper by working at whatever they do with all their heart.
How to choose a direction for your life, from a completely faithful perspective (I believe) is to completely trust in God (Jesus), by saying, 'OK, here I am. I am a sinner, I have made mistakes and will probably make mistakes in the future, and since you say I am forgiven in your eyes, I will take life as it comes at me, make the best decision I can at the time, look at each day and see the mistakes I make along the way, and I trust you, Jesus, my God will always keep your word to me, by never giving me anything more than I can handle, and by always staying with me through the tough times.' Then taking life one day at a time and doing the best you can, trying to make yourself a better person today than you were yesterday, each day of your life.
God's gift is eternal life with Him in heaven. Once He gives you His gift, His gift stays with you forever. Although you can 'give His gift away' and share His gift, once you receive His gift, His gift will always be yours.
His gift will never run out, nor leave you, nor forsake you. Once you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, He will always be with you in your heart, as He is in mine, and the hearts of all those who believe. No matter how tough the test you must go through He is always with you, me, and all who have ever chosen to accept Him. To me: God (Jesus) = Forgiveness, and each day with Forgiveness, God, life starts over again.
He can deliver you from what is referred to as carnal (or worldly) in the Bible. It is the Spirit of the Lord that enters your mind, soul and heart and delivers in from wickedness or corruption. Things like sex out of marriage, stealing things or using others in harmful ways to gain yourself are of the world. The Bible says you may gain the world but you will lose your own soul. Priority is what makes the difference. Faith is essential as God wants you to rely on Him and only Him.
If you are employed in a place that cheats people or relationships that miss use each other then you will have to quit these things. Look for a spirit filled church and you will know them by the vitality of the people.
They should be abundant and teaching the positive and benevolent kindness of Christ Himself, who is the King of creation. That makes you related to the King by spirit. Your body can never do it. But Christ in you if you give Him the credit is able to overcome the loss of the money and many physical ailments. You physical body will not change in appearance except to be pure and clean in all it's ways.
You must put a firm foot down on associating with evil or wickedness. Faith is the key that gets you there. Attending a Bible study with a teacher that is not legalistic (puts a bunch of rules on you) is a good start. The Bible explains the change from carnal to spiritual as like being a new born babe. You gradually wean yourself away from the old nature as the spirit fills you.
It takes time but the Lord's grace is sufficient for all your needs in between. You must define yourself as whole and independent and associate with other whole people. A House , which is your soul, spirit and body must stand undivided. Stand for the truth of the God, who is your delivery from evil or false allegations of the world.
God is not willing anyone should suffer, but some people insist on their own way at all times. Avoid letting this happen by taking precaution from the things of the world. Be sure your house that you dwell in has dead bolts and security if necessary. Keep a cellular on you when you drive as it is dangerous to trust strangers for help.
Ask the Lord to discern the Spirit of the Bible when you read it. It should definitely point that evil is wrong and that there is sin in the world. The only way out of sin is through the transformation and believing the resurrection of Jesus was true and brought eternal life possible. He made it possible for you to become the Son of God instead of merely your earthly parents.
Knowledge is of God alone so you don't want to ask for it. Just lean on the Lord and He will guide you with His knowledge of what is ahead. Turn away from witch practice or false remedies. Regular licensed medical Doctors and Dentists are a gift from the Lord if they are ethical. The reduce earthly pain and suffering. Some new cults preach against going to a Dr. as they say God cures all. God is the ultimate cure but He gave you people to make life easier.
There is a story about a man left at abandoned from his boat in the sea. He cried for God to save him. A helicopter came but he told them no that God would do it. Then a boat came and he turned it away. Then he drown. At Heaven he asked God why He didn't save him and God said I sent a helicopter and a boat, what else did you want?
Just check people out before you get personal but if there is a world disaster like the world trade center bombing, trust whoever comes to get you out of the area. Try not to get weary or hurry the process as it took a long time to build the unreal and it will take time to be born into spiritual ways. Once you truly seek God and only God first, His timing is perfect.
It may get boring at first as you have to give up old detrimental friends and jobs but be sure the Lord will open better doors than the ones you closed. Boundaries are part of being whole. You need to say no to intrusions of your privacy. Be intimate with people only after you know them for a time. Then you can feel free to be honest with people that won't betray your confidence.
This is essential as betrayal hurts your growth and is often worse than physical pain that passes away or is lessened by medicine. Just as people grow in the Lord this section on spirituality will increase with time. Just to do the basics introduced will take your time and effort. You don't want to be overwhelmed or rushed.
